Many thanks for the email and the welcome home card. Carol and I had a very relaxing and fantastic time, it was just what the doctor ordered. The villa was lovely and I have answered your questions below as requested. Thank you for the food parcel on arrival and we will use the villa again but take the kids next time.

What did you think of the villa location, furniture etc.

Second visit for us and the new furniture does makes a big difference.  .

The new sofas are much better and the kids loved watching  TV on a sofa each!!

The Patio furniture is ultra modern and we spent a few nights playing cards,

The new sunbeds were comfy and we loved the Cow Print cushions - made them extra comfy.  

The downstairs room with the old furniture in is a great space and could be a fantastic games room if you wanted to make better use of it.

The upstairs bedrooms are lovely and nicely laid out and comfy beds.  The air con was on a great deal and seemed to work well

Love the big white bath towels, great touch and remembered not take take Pool towels this time to reduce our case weight, we left several towels last year and we ended up using the towels we left. We have left another 2 this year so feel free to add these to your collection.

The wooden furniture near the BBQ is rustic and looks great, really enjoyed sitting down there

The location of the Villa is fantastic the views are brilliant and private the gardens are really pretty and great space for the kids to run around. Fantastic space for large families.

What did you think of the La Manga Club Complex

As with everywhere the prices have gone up, which is to be expected,  the complex was quite quiet compared to last time we went and there are a few new restaurants.  We ate at Ampersand a few times and liked the service and food in there. We also ate at Luigis a few times and liked it there.  We also tried the Chinese and the restaurant Rustica off site and went to the Fishing port where the market is on a Sunday and ate on the waters edge - Miramar not brilliant so wouldnt go back to that one. 

Would you return

Yes we would cause its a beautiful spot and we know what to expect and where everything is.  The kids love the pool and gardens and the TV.

What did you think of the villa location, furniture etc.

The villa location is absolutely superb.  The views from the rear of the villa are incredible. Overlooking the 6th tee and fairway, with views of the mountains and far reaching views of La Manga Strip and Mar Menor. It was a real treat to have a sea view and the strip looks great at night all lit up. With just a couple of minutes walk in either direction to get to the shops, bars, restaurants and sports the villa really is in a perfect position on the complex.

The new furniture in the lounge looks classy but is also practical and comfortable. Great for vegging out on. The  furniture on the balcony by the master and lounge is also comfortable and great for relaxing. We mainly used the table and chairs outside the kitchen at meal times. The weather was lovely and it was nice to enjoy the views whilst eating. The pool furniture was perfect. We didn't use the padded sunbed cushions as we were in and out the pool all day and didn't want to get them wet. But even so the sunbeds were comfortable enough without them. We found the bed in the master a little hard for our preference but we got used to it.

What did you think of the management company “Mar Menor” did you need to use them

The ladies that work at the management company are really friendly, welcoming and very helpful. We did ask them for directions to some places we wished to visit. Unfortunately they don't hold decent maps of the local area which would have been very useful, but they did try to direct us as best as they could. On the evening we were due to leave, when we got to the airport and found out our flight had been cancelled we rang the management company and asked if we could go back to the villa that night. They were more than happy to leave the keys in the night box providing we let you know what we were doing.

What did you think of the La Manga Club Complex

The complex is beautiful, clean and well kept. We really enjoyed just walking round and looking at the other lovely villas and gardens. There is an abundance of palm trees, plants and flowers, that we just don't get at home. It's so pretty. There are lots of bars and restaurants on the complex with something to suit everybody. We found the prices a little high for Spain but I guess that's to be expected on a complex. The food in The Bistro was good and they do a three course menu for 19.95 euros, very reasonable. We liked going to La Barra for Tapas and Sangria. We were a little disappointed with Victors. The food was nice but nothing special and very expensive. There were a few other places that were closed and others that only opened a day or two before we left. We felt that perhaps the complex was not quite in full swing for summer but there was still enough there for us to enjoy. Again, a more detailed map of the complex and it's facilities would be useful. We only found the large supermarket by accident whilst going for a walk.

Would you return

We have had many holidays over the years and visited some fantastic places but we have never returned to the same place twice. Not because we haven't liked the places we have stayed but we just like the idea of exploring somewhere new. However, we feel there is something special about La Manga Club and feel a need to return soon. We would very much like to stay in your villa again. It is perfect for us. The villa is very spacious and comfortable but most importantly for us there is a lot of outdoor space and a huge pool, and what a lovely touch, we really liked the personalised welcome home card.

Thankyou so much for letting us your lovely place. The weather was better than hoped for and the tennis set up is amazing.

The whole family loved the villa, really well designed and laid out, great outside space and inside really generous. WE rode bikes around the resort and further afield and rented a car for a couple of days: I cannot think of a better location for a villa on the whole site, really close to the tennis and the commercial centre for groceries and pharmacy and petrol and restaurants, with a glorious uninterrupted view over the golf out to the mar menor the strip and the mediterranean.

Mar Menor were great. I wanted a car at short notice and Pat clicked her fingers...

I think that the complex is amazing, huge and no doubt costly to own a place there, but impeccably run. A lovely place to go. The stand out for us was the tennis. Beautifully arranged and coached.

I would come back at the drop of a hat.
